About

My leadership approach is inspired by Sherpas.

I started my career at a leading WPP promotion agency, launching the first internet service Prodigy. In 1992, I joined Kirshenbaum & Bond, launching Snapple. In 1996, I joined DoubleClick, the leading Digital Marketing company now owned by Google, as the 17th employee and first Head of Marketing. I was promoted to establish DoubleClick in Japan and Australia.

In 1999, I honed my entrepreneurial spirit, funds and passion to build an innovative agency, Digital Pulp. We developed digital platforms and marketing for entrepreneurial ventures and became one of the top 50 Digital marketing firms. After the dot com bubble, I sold my stake in Digital Pulp. In 2002, I founded Sherpa Marketing, Inc. (named for the people I met in Nepal) to consult great companies including: BMW, as on-site Launch Manager; NYC Economic Development Corp., successfully bidding to host the Super Bowl; Emusic, as CMO of the digital music club; Ridemakerz, as CMO of the experiential retailer; and Gilt Groupe, on site brand manager creating innovative ideas to expand the brand.

In 2012, after returning from Mt Everest, I joined BMW Group, focused on growing MINI, which we built into a Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brand over the last three years. I managed marketing across all channels, led cross functional teams for new product launches and created growth initiatives in Urban markets.

I am passionate about building powerful brands with great people, nurturing the next generation of marketing professionals and making a positive impact in the world.
